Ranked #2 Friendliest Town in America by Forbes, Orinda makes residents feel right at home. It is a quiet family-oriented community set just 20 miles from San Francisco in the beautiful east bay hills.
Orinda has approximately 18,000 residents. The Orinda School District is comprised of four elementary schools (Sleepy Hollow, Wagner Ranch, Glorietta, Del Rey) and Orinda Intermediate School (OIS). Most of the students attend Miramonte High School, also in
Orinda. There are also two private high schools in Orinda.
The town is home to artsy activities including the Orinda Film Festival and the annual Shakespeare Festival. It also hosts a day-long July Fourth party every year that kicks off with a pancake breakfast and is highlighted by an old-fashioned local parade where kids ride decorated bicycles and cheer for local clubs and schools.
Orinda’s friendliness, natural beauty, excellent schools and close proximity to San Francisco makes Orinda a wonderful place to call home.
